As part of our participation in the MIF Expo, the Made in France Fair, we had the honor of speaking with one of the most inspiring figures in French innovation: Lifeaz, a company awarded the Grand Prize for Made in France Innovation thanks to Clark, the first connected defibrillator designed for private individuals.
Every year, 50,000 people suffer cardiac arrest in France, yet only 5% survive. This is a worrying figure, especially considering that less than 40% of the population is trained in first aid. Faced with this reality, Lifeaz has developed a solution designed to be simple, accessible, and always ready to operate.
Clark, a French technology dedicated to cardiac prevention
The Clark device stands out for its fully automatic operation with visual and voice guidance, intelligent connectivity that performs daily self-checks, and real-time monitoring that ensures functionality and safety. In addition, its educational support is reinforced through the Lifeaz app and a network of more than 300 certified trainers across France.
Lifeaz truly embodies the spirit of Made in France through innovation, social impact, accessibility, and civic commitment.
Exclusive interview with the CEO of Lifeaz
During the MIF Expo, we interviewed Johann Kalchman, CEO and co-founder of Lifeaz. In this conversation, he shares the company’s vision, the story behind the development of Clark, and the key challenges surrounding cardiac prevention.
